Turn Down Shawl Collar Earth Tone Wool Blend Coat

Let me start by saying this is a very well-made, beautiful quality coat. I really wanted to love it, but it was just very overwhelming on my small frame (5’2”, 120lbs). The coat itself is very heavyweight (again, well made) and, at the longest point, came down almost to my knees. I really think this coat is better suited/more flattering for someone 5’6” or taller. I am returning it, but I’m giving it 4 stars because this is not a negative review - it’s not the coat’s fault that I’m a shrimp. If you are a taller girl, I would highly recommend this coat. It’s lovely and different from what you normally see.

I honestly didn’t expect this coat to be as high quality as it is. I didn’t even expect to consider it a “coat” at all, just a jacket. But no, it is thick and lined and warm. I haven’t had to use it yet but I tried it on and wearied it around the house for a few minutes. I was disappointed it is higher in the back so it doesn’t cover my butt, but that really isn’t a huge deal. The quality and beauty of the coat make up for that small oversight on my part. I am 5’7”, weigh about 180, hourglass figure. I ordered an XL and was worried it would be big and misshapen, but it’s really not! It looks gorgeous when belted!
